September 23, 2026 - Temple of Fire Trial, Power of the Battlefield Abyss Buff, Auto Soul Tuning, Chuseok Events & Full Moon Coin Shop, Hanbok-Style Atelier Skins, Pets & Wings

The Trial rotates to Temple of Fire with a bigger Exchange Shop, Abyss Lower/Middle bosses grant the new Power of the Battlefield buff, Soul Tuning gets auto-tune, plus Atelier previews and Customizing presets. Chuseok brings a 28-day attendance, the Full Moon Trading Co. coin shop, an Expedition/Transcendence Boost-Up with Moon Rabbit gift bundles, hanbok-style skins, pets and wings, the HAPPYCHUSEOKAION2 coupon and LIVE preview mail rewards.

🌕 September 23, 2026 - Update Notes

Greetings, Daevas! Here are the patch notes for the September 23rd update.

AION2 - Chapter 1. The Land of Sand and Frost

🏰 Trial

• The Trial 'Bakron's Floating Island' ends and is replaced by 'Temple of Fire'

• The set stages are added together to determine the final difficulty — minimum 4, maximum 16

• Clearing grants the Trial-exclusive coin 'Token of Overcoming' based on the difficulty cleared; each difficulty's reward can be earned once per week, resetting every Wednesday
• [Expedition – Exchange Shop]: the purchase limit of some existing products is raised, and new products are added

🌌 Abyss

Server Matching Change

• Artifact occupation and the occupation state of the Abyss Corridors are reset as the server rematching takes place
• Check the server rematching results in the CM Hideout notice

Power of the Battlefield Buff

• NEW: when a boss monster appears in the Abyss Lower or Middle Layer, the 'Power of the Battlefield' buff is applied to every player character in the map
• Power of the Battlefield replaces the Experienced Counterstrike, Fury, Exploit, Undefeated Mantra, Light of Protection, Power of the Storm and Blessing of Earth effects — while the buff is applied, those buff effects are not applied
• The effect is removed when there is no boss monster in the map
• In the Abyss Rift Zone, the same effect is always applied while you are inside, regardless of whether a boss has appeared
• The Lower/Middle Layer boss monsters that apply the buff are: Spirit Lord Agro, Watcher Kaira, Dimensional Core, Guardian General Nahma, Enraged Guardian General Nahma, Executor Tamasa, Executor Agro, Executor Kaira, Executioner Dramos, Traitor Dukal and Destroyer Maraka

🔮 Soul Binding

• The casting time of Soul Tuning is shortened
• NEW: an Auto-Tuning feature is added to Soul Binding
  • Select the [Auto-Tune] button to set the target tuning options
  • Soul Tuning then proceeds automatically until one of the set target options appears
  • The [Auto-Tune] button is enabled once the option to tune and the material items are registered
  • Auto-Tuning stops when a target option appears or when all registered material items are used up

🛒 Shop

• NEW: a product preview that lets you check skin products in advance is added to the right of the product list in the [Atelier] tab
  • Hover the mouse over the product list to display the preview of that product
  • Previews are available for costume sets and singles, weapon skins, wings, pets and emote products
• The sorting and design of the product list are changed
  • The product list is laid out in 4 columns when a product preview is shown, and in 5 columns when it is not
  • Sold-out or unpurchasable products are shaded in the product list so that their state is easy to recognize

👗 Wardrobe

• Styling presets are now also provided for weapon skins
  • Weapon skins that come with styling presets can be checked in the shop preview and in the Styling menu
  • Applying a provided styling preset costs the usual styling fee

🎨 Customizing

• New presets and detailed options are added for both male and female characters
  • For each gender: 3 presets, 9 hairstyles, 2 face shapes and 1 eyebrow shape are added
• A new item is added to the body shape settings
  • A [Build] item is added to the [Body Shape > Body/Head] tab

🌀 Rift of Space-Time Occupation Battle

• The Power of the Battlefield buff is now applied while you are participating in an Occupation Battle in progress
• When the attacking team re-enters the event server from its home server through the [Space-Time Teleport] button on the Occupation Battle HUD, an invincibility buff is granted for a certain time
  • The arrival position is adjusted to be near the active garrison group, and the number of arrival points is increased
• While participating as the defending team, a message notification is now shown when your own garrison is attacked
• The rewards you can obtain can now be checked in advance through the [Info] button on the Occupation Battle HUD

🖥️ UI Improvements

• Difficulty information is now displayed in the dungeon waiting room and on the dungeon panel of Sanctuaries and Transcendence dungeons
• Quest area display: fixed the quest area shown on the world map / minimap / transparent map occasionally not matching

🎉 Events

1. A Bountiful Chuseok Journey — 28-Day Attendance (Sep 23 – Oct 28)

• The '<A Bountiful Chuseok Journey>' attendance board opens — check rewards in In-Game Menu → Attendance
• The attendance board resets daily at 00:00

2. Chuseok Full Moon Trading Co. (Sep 23 – Oct 7)

• Schedule: September 23, 2026 (Wed) after maintenance – October 7, 2026 (Wed) before maintenance

(1) Atreia's Chuseok Festival — 7-Day Attendance

• The '<Atreia's Chuseok Festival>' attendance board opens — check rewards in In-Game Menu → Attendance
• The attendance board resets daily at 00:00

(2) Event Missions

• New event missions open under the [Season Missions] > [Event] tab
• Completing event missions grants the exclusive mission currency 'Chuseok Full Moon Coin (Event)', which is spent on the products of the NPC Coin Exchange Merchant in each village
• When the event period ends, this mission currency is deleted from your inventory

(3) Event Shop

• NPC Coin Merchants are added to each village

3. Expedition & Transcendence Chuseok Boost-Up (Sep 23 – Oct 7)

(1) Doubled Unstable Stigma Shard Rewards

• The total reward amount of 'Unstable Stigma Shard (Imprint)' is doubled
• During the event, the total reward amount of some items obtainable when opening the Ord Energy Cube in specific dungeons is doubled

(2) Moon Rabbit's Energy (Event) — Material Conversion Coin

• NEW: a new Material Conversion material, 'Moon Rabbit's Energy (Event)', can be obtained from some Expedition and Transcendence dungeons during the event — it is obtained through the Ord Energy rewards of Expedition and Transcendence dungeons

4. Transcendence: Arcana Growth Support — Extended

• The end date of the ongoing Transcendence: Arcana Growth Support event is extended

🎮 Improvements

• PVP Damage Amplification stat
  • The PVP Damage Amplification stat is now applied at a certain ratio to the Monoliths and Guards in every Abyss region and in the Rift of Space-Time Occupation Battle
  • As the PVP Damage Amplification stat now applies, the HP of Abyss region bosses and Dimensional Cores is slightly raised
• For easier retries after a dungeon failure, the time the failed state is kept is increased from 10 seconds to 20 seconds
• In Expedition / Transcendence / Sanctuary, the view range within which party members are shown on screen is increased
• Ground-targeted skills can now be activated even when the mouse cursor is over a button UI
• Chat: when scrolling in the mini-chat or chat popup UI, the view now stays fixed on that chat area
• Commendations
  • In Sanctuary dungeons, the candidates who can receive a player commendation are expanded from your own party members to all Force members
  • The popup position of the commendation window and the commendation results window is moved to the right side of the screen
  • In the commendation results window, the players who received the most commendations are now shown first
  • While the commendation window is open, the mouse pointer is now always active regardless of the control mode
• The maximum number of Arcana you can hold is raised to 1,100
• Sanctuary
  • Force members can now be moved between Forces inside the dungeon
  • Changes are restricted while fighting a boss, and the Force leader's position cannot be changed
• The 'Centennial Ginseng Token' item can now be stored in the character warehouse and the server warehouse

🛠️ Bug Fixes

• Abyss Rift Zone: boss kill rewards can now be obtained even from far away as long as the contribution requirement is met
• Streamer Mode
  • In Expeditions, enabling [Hide My Character Name] is now immediately reflected in the party member list on the minimap
  • With [Hide My Character Name] enabled, the character name shown in the message when a Spiritmaster's summon is hit is now displayed as '@Player'
  • With [Hide My Character Name] enabled, the character name shown in the message when a Cleric's summon is hit is now displayed as '@Player'
  • With [Hide My Character Name] enabled, the summoner's character name in the Kisk registration popup is now displayed as '@Player'
• Fixed the Season Mission weekly reward point gauge being displayed differently from the reward points actually earned
• Fixed the sale price of ticket-exchange products with a per-account or per-server purchase limit being displayed as free once sold out
• Fixed the party loot dice button not being shown on the HUD edit screen
• Fixed the world map resolution changing in some Abyss regions when moving to a monster drop or gathering source location
• Commendations
  • Fixed the commendation popup closing when you died or performed a basic resurrection while it was open
  • Fixed the character info popup in the Content Ranking closing immediately when the commendation info area inside it was clicked
• Sanctuary 'Muspell's Chalice' — boss 'Iskariel': fixed being able to avoid the wipe mechanic by gliding below the combat area while the 'Desperate Guard' pattern was being used
• Sanctuary 'Snowfield of Lamentation' — boss 'Deltras': fixed a certain skill being created at the basic resurrection location
• Sanctuary 'Snowfield of Lamentation': fixed the direction keys occasionally not working when using the rope skill
• Fixed the auto-potion slot appearing disabled after leaving a Nightmare dungeon
• Soul Binding probability info: the probabilities for granting stat values are now displayed to their significant digits

♻️ Recovery & Restoration

• Based on the purchase history of 'Greater Magic Stone (Imprint)' and 'Greater Spirit Stone (Imprint)' sold in the [Nightmare – Exchange Shop] and [Shugo Festa – Festa Shop] on September 16, 'Centennial Ginseng Token' and 'Fantasy Fragment' items equal to the difference from the current price are retroactively granted through the Cube
