AION2 Global - Patch Notes October 21: Hard Mode for Krao Cave & Draupnir, the Ariel Daevanion Board, Abyss Capacity

Krao Cave and Draupnir get a Hard mode (item level 2600, 4-minute boss Frenzy, 3 revives) with Philosopher's Stone: Revelation, Ariel Fragments and Expedition Hero Artworks; 100 Ariel Fragments morph into a Daevanion Crystal: Ariel for the new Ariel board. Sorcerer and Chanter fixes, Resurrection Spiritstones for Kina until December 16, more players in the Abyss and tougher Abyss bosses.

🏰 Expedition: Hard Mode

Krao Cave and Draupnir get a Hard mode: item level 2600 to enter, boss Frenzy after 4 minutes, 3 revives per player
New rewards: a chance at Philosopher's Stone: Revelation (Bound), also selectable as the guaranteed reward; an Ariel Fragment (Bound) that depends on the dungeon; a chance at an Expedition Hero Artwork; more Kina than Normal
All Unique crafting materials drop in Hard mode, including Wrathful Mind, Wrathful Will and Wrathful Ego
New achievements for Expedition (Hard) and for collecting the Expedition Hero Artworks, some rewarding Unique skins

✨ New Daevanion Board: Ariel

A new Ariel Daevanion board is added; its points come from Ariel Fragments
Substance Morph › Special › Daevanion: 100 Ariel Fragments → 1 Daevanion Crystal: Ariel (Bound), up to 30 times per character (the amount per dungeon is limited)
Substance Morph › Special › Consumables: 1 Ariel Fragment → 5 Enhance Stones, unlimited

Spinning Strike Skill effects display correctly again

Sorcerer

Cold Storm Stacked Frostbite deals its bonus damage; the Frostbite effect matches the skill level; Specialty 1 no longer applies Frostbite once more after the effect ends
Fire Wall No more bonus damage on targets without Embers

🎉 Event: Rise to the Challenge

Until the maintenance of December 16, 2026 (CET), Resurrection Spiritstones (Season 1) can be bought with Kina in Shop › Wind Breeze Merchants: 30 for 25,000 Kina (step 1), then 30 for 50,000 Kina (step 2), per server per week.

🔧 Improvements and Fixes

More players can enter the Abyss at once
The Lower Abyss Dimensional Core and every Abyss boss have more HP; Kaira and Argo have slightly larger hitboxes
The Market restriction on listing gathered materials (based on play history) is relaxed: some players can trade normally again
Empyrean Traces hidden by Halloween decorations in Verteron are moved; [Movement Controls] no longer appears several times in Key Settings; title tooltips match the real effects
